The Agriculture and Food Sector Development Strategy set out to explore what is needed to help Strathcona County attract investment in agriculture and food production, processing, and manufacturing. It looks to identify ways to connect agriculture and food businesses with resources, support networks and science expertise.

County invests over $1.1 million to support local social-sector non-profits

To support non-profit organizations in meeting social service needs in Strathcona County, Council has approved 16 grant applications through the 2024 Social Framework Community Grant program.

Ban announced on non-essential water use

Strathcona County is banning all non-essential water use effective immediately. Residents are advised to use water for essential purposes only. Residents who get water from truck fills are also asked to reduce their water consumption. The ban applies to all Strathcona County residents including country residential areas.

Gallery@501 invites you to find connection through portraits

Strathcona County is pleased to present a new art exhibition, Reflections, featuring artworks from Canadian artists Carol Wylie (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan) and Marie-Pierre Castonguay (Sherwood Park, Alberta). The exhibit opens at the Gallery on January 23 and shows until March 2, 2024.
