Strathcona County’s emergency response is growing thanks to the mobile incident command post donated by Shell Scotford on June 24. A mobile incident command post is where tactical planning during a large emergency response is coordinated. This command post from Shell will replace the County’s current vehicle.

Strathcona County is proud to announce it has received two awards from the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrators (CAMA) at its annual conference and Awards of Excellence luncheon in Banff, Alberta on June 5.
Strathcona County Enforcement Services (EFS) is ticketing teens and kids—but not for what you may think. Rather, EFS is rewarding teens and children for their safe behaviour and the ways they contribute to our community, like wearing a helmet, helping someone cross at a crosswalk or being a good neighbour.
Strathcona County, along with Circular Innovation Council, are pleased to announce the launch of a new institutional, commercial, and industrial food rescue and organic waste diversion pilot, with collection beginning June 7, 2024. The Circular Innovation Council is a national, not-for-profit organization that delivers programming to educate and empower Canadians to take action on the circular economy, to retain and recover as much value as possible from resources.
