Youth invited to share ideas for creating a thriving community

Strathcona County is inviting youth, parents/caregivers and youth service providers to share ideas on how the community can best work together to meet the needs of its youth and young adults, between the ages of 14 and 29. Feedback will help with future planning and service delivery that enables youth and young adults to thrive in Strathcona County.

Salon Series showcasing local artists’ work

The artistic talent of local artists will be on display at Gallery@501 as part of the Strathcona Salon Series exhibit. This annual exhibit, featuring original pieces by both adults and high school students, will showcase artwork that Strathcona County is considering for purchase or loan as part of its art collection.

Municipal property tax increase less than one per cent

Payment deadline June 28
Strathcona County has kept residential property taxes for the municipal portion to a 0.8 per cent increase.

Tax notices will be mailed in mid-May. The tax payment deadline is Friday, June 28, 2019.
