Fire restriction in effect for Strathcona County
A fire restriction has been declared for Strathcona County, effective 12 noon on April 22. The County has called the restriction in response to the dry conditions and windy weather. The restriction applies to all rural areas in the County.

Strathcona County’s Healthy Aging project is open for residents to share their input on the needs and priorities of older adults 55+ to help shape the future of healthy aging in Strathcona County. The survey is open until May 10 to all residents.

Pitch-In to help clean our community after the spring melt
Strathcona County residents are invited to show their community pride and “pitch-in” with waste removal from April 22 to May 5, 2024. This annual campaign brings volunteers together to help remove litter left behind after the spring thaw.

Local artists, public encouraged to participate in Strathcona Contemporary
Each year, Strathcona County supports local talent by purchasing artwork through its annual art acquisition program. Artists residing in Strathcona County, and those with a significant connection to the County, are encouraged to submit their artwork for consideration. The application deadline is April 15.
