Strathcona County Council has approved a 3.90 per cent property tax revenue increase for 2025, one of the lowest in the region, ensuring continued high-quality services for residents.
A snow route parking ban will go into effect on Tuesday, November 26 at 7 a.m. on all collector roads in Sherwood Park.

On Thursday, December 12, the CPKC Holiday Train will pull into Josephburg, stopping at the Moyer Recreation Centre from 5:15 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Decorated for the holidays with thousands of Christmas lights, the festive train will feature an outdoor music concert with Magic! and Sophia Camara.

Today Strathcona County Administration began presenting Council with the proposed 2025-2028 budget which includes a 3.87 per cent property tax increase for 2025 to maintain high service levels and introduce a new focus on managing growth. This tax increase is inclusive of the 2 per cent recreation infrastructure tax Council approved in 2023.
