Municipal naming
The Municipal Naming Policy (137.7 KB) establishes a coordinated and consistent approach to the naming and renaming of development areas, roads, parks, public facilities and stormwater management facilities.
Strathcona County strives to recognize history, culture, heritage, natural features, and persons through naming. In addition to the policy, Planning and Development Services introduced a new Municipal Naming Procedure document (204.3 KB) which will further facilitate responsible naming practices within the County.
