Get active in your home with our adult wellness virtual programs offered through Microsoft Teams. These are live classes lead by a qualified instructor.

Registered programs update - January 8
All indoor, in person, registered programs continue to be on hold due to the provincial restrictions currently in place. All affected registered participants will be contacted directly and receive an automatic pro-rated refund.

Strathcona County offers a variety of registered programs specifically for Older Adults (50+). Programs listed on this webpage have been specifically created for Older Adults 50+ however, traditional adult programs are open to seniors as well. - Aging Backwards with Essentrics - improve range of motion and mobility in this gentle yet effective class.
- All In One! - challenge your cardio, strength, balance and flexibility.
- Chair Yoga - a gentle yoga practice that integrates the assistance of a chair for seated and standing poses.
- Full Body Yoga (50+) - connect the mind and body through mobility, flexibility and strength.
- Pick Your Pace - a mix of easy to follow moves to condition the heart and lungs combined with balance, strength and mobility exercises.
- Turning Back the Clock - maintain your strength through an individualized program under the guidance of a certified trainer.

New guidelines in place
All programs have been created to meet Alberta Health Services guidelines to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community. Please note that masks or face coverings are required in all indoor Strathcona County facilities but can be taken off while participating in your activity. Masks are not permitted during any aquatic programs.
Participants will be asked a series of COVID-19 pre-screening questions upon arrival and are asked to maintain a physical distance of 2 metres (6 feet) from individuals outside of their household at all times. Stay home if you are sick or experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19.
