Arc has arrived for Adult fare media users!

Adult commuter and local ticket and pass users will be able to purchase and load value to their Arc cards 

You can now access myArc.ca your main resource for all things Arc related or if you'd prefer to speak with an Arc representative you can call 780-1-888-302-0001.

November 21, 2022 - We will be transitioning all Adult commuter and local products including tickets and passes to the Arc electronic fare system. Adult pass users can now get their Arc cards instead of a December paper pass and start contributing towards there December monthly fare cap! Not riding a full month in December? No worries - still use your Arc card and still get the savings without having to purchase cumbersome tickets.

December 1, 2022 - start tapping on and off buses throughout the Edmonton region and build towards your monthly cap (Strathcona County Transit's commuter cap continues to be $108.50)

Tickets and passes

Effective December 14, 2022
Adult Passes, Day Passes and Adult Tickets are discontinued and are no longer available for purchase.
All tickets and days passes will need to be used prior to December 31, 2023. Unused tickets and day passes will not be refunded or exchanged.

All Strathcona County Transit Adult Mobility Bus tickets with an expiry date of December 31, 2020 or December 31, 2021, will continue to be accepted as valid fare media until Mobility Bus is phased into Smart Fare.

Passes and tickets are only available at the Bethel Transit Terminal or Ordze Transit Centre. Strathcona County specific fare media is not available for purchase at any external retail outlet. Arc cards are available from specific retails throughout the region and online at www.myArc.ca

Please note, if your trip involves transferring bus services provided by Edmonton or St. Albert, you may have to pay transfer fees.

For more information on how to plan your trip, please call Customer Service at 780-464-RIDE (7433) from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Fare products are only available at the Bethel Transit Terminal and Ordze Transit Centre during regular business hours. December 2022 monthly passes and Advantage Parking passes will be available beginning Friday, November 18 at the Bethel Transit Terminal. 

Bus passes can be purchased from Bethel Transit Terminal at the following times:

Monday to Friday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

December 2022 monthly passes will be available at the Ordze Transit Centre -  November 29, 30 and December 1.

Bus passes can be purchased from the Ordze Transit Centre on the last two business days of the month and the first working day of the month at the following times:

7 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

Arc

Want to transition to Arc beginning the month of December? Get your Arc card starting November 21. Adult commuter and local pass and ticket users can finally start using Arc electronic fare media. Add a minimum of $4 or as much as $500 and start tapping on December 1 to build towards your monthly fare cap. Not going to be riding enough to need a monthly pass in December? No worries! Still get your Arc card and start enjoying the convenience and value. You'll pay the same as if you had purchased tickets without having to rip and tear, and if you happen to ride enough to make a pass worth while, you'll get those savings too!

Advantage Parking

Advantage Parking is a reserved, paid parking program at the Bethel Transit Terminal. Advantage Parking provides individuals with a parking stall during peak times, regardless of when they arrive at the Bethel Transit Terminal.

Single day pass - available until December 14, 2022

Day passes can be used for unlimited travel on Strathcona County Transit for one service day.

  • Valid for one adult.
  • Appropriate date of travel must be scratched to be valid including one day, one month and one year.
  • Passes with multiple dates scratched are invalid. 
  • Available at the Bethel Transit Terminal and Ordze Transit Centre customer service booths.
  • Valid only on Strathcona County Transit.
    • Pass costs: $12.40

Youth local summer pass

Summer passes are for youth 17 and under or students who are not in the U-Pass program. Passes are valid for unlimited local service for both July and August for one low price. The summer 2022 passes will be available beginning June 17, 2022 at the Bethel Transit Terminal and on June 29, 30 and July 4 at the Ordze Transit Centre.

Pass features:

  • One combination pass is valid for both July and August.
  • Passes will not be sold prorated for the month of August.
    • Pass cost: $30.50

Transfers

Sometimes your trip may require a transfer between different buses or services (LRT). Strathcona County Transit works with our partners in Edmonton and St. Albert to help you reach your destination.

Your transfer fee will vary depending on the type of pass or ticket you are using and where you are traveling. Your transfer fee is paid to the operator once you board the transferring bus. Please use the charts below to determine your transfer fee, and remember to request a transfer as your proof of payment.
