Tickets and passes
All Strathcona County Transit tickets (commuter, local, or Mobility Bus) with an expiry date of December 31, 2020 or December 31, 2021, will continue to be accepted as valid fare media until Smart Fare comes into effect.
Passes and tickets are only available at the Bethel Transit Terminal or Ordze Transit Centre. Fare media is not available for purchase at any external retail outlet.
COVID-19 Transit service
As directed by the Province of Alberta, masks are no longer required while riding transit or in transit terminals.Â
COVID testing
The AHS testing site is located in trailers in the north-west corner of the parking lot off of Broadview Road, not in the Bethel Transit Terminal. Map
Please do not ride transit to get to your appointment. If you require transportation, contact 811 and they will assist you.Â

Please note, if your trip involves transferring bus services provided by Edmonton or St. Albert, you may have to pay transfer fees.

Fare products are only available at the Bethel Transit Terminal and Ordze Transit Centre during regular business hours.Â
August 2022 monthly passes and Advantage Parking passes will be available beginning Friday, July 22 at the Bethel Transit Terminal.Â
Bus passes can be purchased from Bethel Transit Terminal at the following times:
Monday to Friday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturdays: 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
August 2022Â monthly passes will be available at the Ordze Transit Centre -Â July 28, 29 and August 2.
Bus passes can be purchased from the Ordze Transit Centre on the last two business days of the month and the first working day of the month at the following times:
7 a.m. to 10:30Â a.m. and 3 p.m. to 6:15Â p.m.

Advantage Parking
Advantage Parking is a reserved, paid parking program at the Bethel Transit Terminal. Advantage Parking provides individuals with a parking stall during peak times, regardless of when they arrive at the Bethel Transit Terminal.

Single day pass
Day passes can be used for unlimited travel on Strathcona County Transit for one service day.
- Valid for one adult.
- Appropriate date of travel must be scratched to be valid including one day, one month and one year.
- Passes with multiple dates scratched are invalid.Â
- Available at the Bethel Transit Terminal and Ordze Transit Centre customer service booths.
- Valid only on Strathcona County Transit.
- Pass costs: $12.40
Youth local summer pass
Summer passes are for youth 17 and under or students who are not in the U-Pass program. Passes are valid for unlimited local service for both July and August for one low price. The summer 2022 passes will be available beginning June 17, 2022 at the Bethel Transit Terminal and on June 29, 30 and July 4 at the Ordze Transit Centre.
Pass features:
- One combination pass is valid for both July and August.
- Passes will not be sold prorated for the month of August.
- Pass cost: $30.50

Transfers
Sometimes your trip may require a transfer between different buses or services (LRT). Strathcona County Transit works with our partners in Edmonton and St. Albert to help you reach your destination.
Your transfer fee will vary depending on the type of pass or ticket you are using and where you are traveling. Your transfer fee is paid to the operator once you board the transferring bus. Please use the charts below to determine your transfer fee.
