RCMP investigating community incident

On May 8, 2026, RCMP and Emergency Services responded to a report of an injured person at the Fir Arms apartment complex. Despite life-saving measures, the individual succumbed to their injuries. One suspect has been taken into custody and charged with second-degree murder. We are grateful for our first responders who kept our community safe. The RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating this incident and will provide any future updates.
