County’s opioid exhibit receives provincial Award of Excellence

On November 28, the Family and Community Support Services Association of Alberta (FCSSAA) presented an Award of Excellence to Mayor Rod Frank, on behalf of Strathcona County’s Community Drug Strategy Committee, for Opioids Don’t Discriminate: An Interactive Experience exhibit.

Train whistling to stop at five Strathcona County crossings

On Tuesday, November 26, Strathcona County Council passed a resolution to enact whistle cessation at four CN Rail crossings north of Highway 630, and CP Rail’s crossing at 34 Street south of Baseline Road.

County seeks feedback on rural road safety and service levels

Update of rural roads master plan begins with public engagement

Strathcona County wants to hear from residents on how they use the rural road network, their safety and maintenance concerns, and their vision for future roads. The feedback will inform an update of the Sustainable Rural Roads Master Plan, which guides how the County’s rural roads are maintained and improved.
