The holiday season begins with Celebration of Lights!

On Saturday, November 16, you’re invited to help kick off Strathcona County’s holiday season with the Celebration of Lights winter wonderland festivities at Festival Place.

Festivities take place from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and include an opportunity for a FREE picture with Santa, courtesy of Trina Hodges & Megan Mohr – RE/MAX Elite. This year’s free festival activities include wagon rides, reindeer, writing letters to Santa, campfire cooking, holiday crafts and more.

At 4:30 p.m., the countdown begins, and the magic of the season will come alive with the lighting of the community Christmas lights.

Parking is available at Festival Place, the Community Centre parkade and Centre in the Park parkade.

Volunteers are still needed for crafts, wagon rides, Santa’s workshop, cookie decorating and more. Contact volunteer@strathcona.ca or 780-467-2211 to volunteer.

Please share the holiday spirit by bringing a donation for the Strathcona Food Bank.
