On Monday, January 6, 2020, the Highway 14 Regional Water Services Commission is planning to shut down a portion of its water supply to repair a water break.

Gallery@501 exhibit provides insight into Hutterite societies
Gallery@501 is pleased to present In The World But Not Of It by Canadian artist, Tim Smith. The exhibit opens January 10 and is on display until February 23, 2020. The public is invited to attend the exhibit’s opening reception on Friday, January 10 at 7 p.m. at Gallery@501 (#120, 501 Festival Avenue, Sherwood Park).

Celebrate at Strathcona County’s 2020 New Year’s Festival
Ring in 2020 with free, family-friendly festivities on Tuesday, December 31 starting at 4 p.m. and concluding with fireworks at 8 p.m. The fun will take place at Broadmoor Lake Park and include activities at Festival Place, the Community Centre, and the Sherwood Park Arena and Sports Centre.

Parkade incident review outlines County’s emergency response strengths and areas for improvement
As part of its commitment to safety and best practices, Strathcona County invited an independent contractor to review the County’s emergency response and recovery, following the Community Centre parkade explosions on November 6, 2018 up to full operational recovery on May 8, 2019.

Council approves budget 2020
Strathcona County Council today approved the 2020 operating and capital budgets and the 2021-2023 operating and 2021-2024 capital budgets in principle.

Cram a cruiser for the Strathcona Christmas Bureau
On Tuesday, December 10, Strathcona County Enforcement Services will be collecting donations at a local Save-on-Foods for the Strathcona Christmas Bureau. Enforcement Services staff will be onsite with a police cruiser and are encouraging shoppers to cram the cruiser with donations.

Strathcona County, Fort Saskatchewan mayors respond to province’s approval of uncontested annexation
We are pleased to share the Government of Alberta has approved the negotiated annexation agreed to by Strathcona County and City of Fort Saskatchewan councils just over one year ago. This is good news for both our communities.
