Capital Region Emergency Preparedness Partnership
Capital Region Emergency Preparedness Partnership Incident Management Team (CREPP IMT) training is a provincially-funded initiative designed to create personnel depth and support for municipal staff working in an Emergency Operations Centre (EOC). Training is scheduled for 2019.
BLOCK 1 – January 9-10, 2019 (2 days): Covering an ICS refresher, Unit Leader roles and responsibilities, the Planning P process and ICS forms. It is a mixture of lectures (Day 1) and hands-on problem solving using the Planning P and ICS forms (Day 2). Location TBD
BLOCK 2 – February 6-7, 2019 (2 days): Focused on Section Level exercises. Initially a mentored walk-through of an exercise problem, followed by a full exercise test. Location TBD
BLOCK 3 – March 5-7, 2019 (3 days): Focused on IMT Exercises. Initially a one-day mentored walk through of an exercise problem, followed by a full IMT exercise test. Location TBD
AEMA will cover most if not all travel, accommodations and meals for approved participants. Depending on numbers and geography (i.e. increased travel costs) there may be a requirement for some cost-sharing as determined by AEMA. For further details, contact emergencymanagement@strathcona.ca
