North Central All-hazards Incident Management Team (NC AHIMT) training is a provincially-funded initiative designed to create personnel depth and support for municipal staff working in an Incident Command Post (ICP).

BLOCK 1 – November 21-22, 2023 (2 days):  Covering an ICS refresher, Unit Leader roles and responsibilities, the Planning P process and ICS forms. It is a mixture of lectures (Day 1) and hands-on problem solving using the Planning P and ICS forms (Day 2). Location: Twin Atria Building, 4999-98 Ave., Edmonton, AB

BLOCK 2 – September 20-21, 2023 (2 days):  Focused on Section Level exercises. Initially a mentored walk-through of an exercise problem, followed by a full exercise test. Location: Strathcona County Hall / Community Centre; 2001 Sherwood Drive, Sherwood Park

BLOCK 3 – October 3-6, 2023 (3 days):  Focused on IMT Exercises. Initially a one-day mentored walk through of an exercise problem, followed by a full IMT exercise test. Location: St. Albert EOC, 20 Gates Avenue, St. Albert

Functional exercise - November 28-29, 2023 (2 days): Location: Calmar Station 6, 4517 50 St, Calmar, AB

Subject to change dependent on current Public Health restrictions. As space is limited, preference will be given to those who have not yet taken this training.

AEMA will cover most if not all travel, accommodations and meals for approved participants. Depending on numbers and geography (i.e. increased travel costs) there may be a requirement for some cost-sharing as determined by AEMA. For further details, contact emergencymanagement@strathcona.ca
