Strathcona County is deeply saddened to learn of the death of our own RCMP member, Constable Harvey Dhami. Constable Dhami died in the line of duty yesterday morning, and was known as compassionate, caring and community oriented. On behalf of Strathcona County and Council, we thank the efforts of first responders and extend our heartfelt condolences to Constable Dhami’s wife Ravinder, loved ones, friends, our entire RCMP detachment and everyone affected by this tragic loss.Â

Flags will be lowered to half-mast until sunset on the day of Constable Dhami's memorial. The RCMP investigation is ongoing, and no further details or comments about this tragedy will be shared at this time.
