Budgeting for Strathcona County’s future

“Strathcona County is committed to fostering a thriving community—today and for generations to come,” says Jennifer Cannon, Chief Financial Officer. “By listening to residents and understanding their priorities, we can develop a fiscally responsible budget that meets our operational needs while continuing to deliver the high-quality services for our community expects and deserves.”

The survey is available online and the County has hired an independent vendor to conduct the budget survey on the phone, so some residents may receive a call in the coming weeks.

Results from the telephone and online survey will be collected and presented to Council and shared publicly in July 2025. Budget meetings, hearings and deliberations will begin in the fall, and the approved 2026-2029 budget will be released in early 2026.

The survey is open until Tuesday, May 13, 2025. Residents can take the survey and follow the project at strathcona.ca/budget-survey.
