Strathcona County recognized as one of Canada’s best employers 2024

Strathcona County is proud to announce that it has been named one of Canada’s Best Employers 2024 on Forbes.com. With an overall rank of #60 on the list of 300 organizations, it is the only municipality in Western Canada to receive this distinction.

Strathcona County offers a range of benefits and opportunities for its more than 2,000 employees.  The annual ranking, which is based on a survey of more than 40,000 people working for Canadian companies and institutions, showcases the top employers in the country. Survey respondents were asked to rate their employer based on a range of criteria including salary, gender pay-equity, work flexibility, opportunities for promotion and on-the-job training. This reflects its commitment to providing a positive and supportive work environment for its employees, and its dedication to delivering high-quality services and programs to its residents and businesses.
