Have your say in RCMP and Enforcement Services priorities

Residents are invited to help set 2024/2025 policing priorities for Strathcona County RCMP and Strathcona County Enforcement Services in a brief survey.

“Each year, Strathcona County RCMP and Enforcement Services establish policing and municipal enforcement priorities to ensure members focus on issues the public identifies as important,” says Tom Sutton, Strathcona County RCMP and Enforcement Services Director. “The survey ensures the public has a say in policing and municipal enforcement priorities and department planning.”

Statistics, responses to calls for service, crime trends, community partner and stakeholder input are also considered when allocating resources for the year.

Strathcona County RCMP and Enforcement Services are integrated in their overall responsibility for public safety, law enforcement, support for victims of crime, traffic enforcement and public education through community policing.

“We work together, to preserve the peace, uphold the law and provide quality service that makes our community a safer, more livable place to call home,” said Sutton.

The survey is available online from January 17 until February 6 at strathcona.ca/PoliceSurvey. Residents can follow the survey and get notified when results are published by joining County Voice at strathcona.ca/CountyVoice.
