Pitch-In to help clean our community after the spring melt

Strathcona County residents are invited to show their community pride and “Pitch-in” with litter removal from May 13 to 29, 2022. This annual campaign helps remove litter left behind after the spring thaw.

To get involved, residents can visit strathcona.ca/pitchin to complete their registration form. Registration is open until the end of Pitch-In week on May 29.

County staff will confirm the dates and location of each clean-up to coordinate the pick-up of the filled garbage bags. Participants may use their own garbage bags or pick up complimentary bags provided by Strathcona County. Pitch-In bags are available for pick-up at the Recreation, Parks and Culture administration office (2025 Oak Street, Sherwood Park) during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday).

In 2021, more than 550,000 people across Canada volunteered to pitch-in with litter removal. Thank you to all Strathcona County residents for their help in keeping the community clean.
