Snow route parking ban declared; residential clearing scheduled next

A snow route parking ban will go into effect on Sunday, March 6 at 7 a.m. on all collector roads in Sherwood Park.  

The parking ban applies to all Priority 3 collector roads, which are marked with permanent snow route signs. Residents are asked to remove their vehicles from affected streets to allow for safe and efficient snow removal.  

Vehicles parked on collector roads during the parking ban will be towed, and the owner issued a $250 ticket. Parking is permitted after the snow has been removed.  

Crews will be working 24/7 to clear the snow by Saturday evening. 

Residential clearing expected to start Tuesday 

Clearing will start on remaining Priority 4 residential streets on Tuesday, March 8. Orange signs will be placed in neighbourhoods that include dates for when snow clearing is scheduled to begin on these roads. More information will be shared before residential clearing is set to begin.
