CP Holiday Train rolls into Josephburg

On Friday, December 9, the CP Holiday Train will pull into Josephburg, stopping at the Moyer Recreation Centre from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. Decorated for the holidays with thousands of Christmas lights, the festive train will feature an outdoor music concert with Tenille Townes and Aysanabee.
Admission is free, and the event supports local food banks. Attendees are encouraged to bring healthy, non-perishable food items or cash donations.
This outdoor event will go ahead no matter the weather. Watch for Environment Canada weather alerts and local road reports; and dress for all weather conditions.
The train will be next to the Moyer Recreation Centre. Come in briefly to warm up with a free hot chocolate!
Park at the Bethel Transit Terminal and take a shuttle bus!
Free bus transportation from Sherwood Park is recommended. Bus tickets are available online, by advance registration only. Ticket quantities are limited.

The special event buses depart promptly at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 9, from the Bethel Transit Terminal, 650 Bethel Drive, Sherwood Park. They will return to Bethel Transit Terminal, arriving at approximately 7 p.m.
Seats are limited. If you are unable to use your ticket, please contact us at 780-464-8095 so that we may reuse your ticket for someone else. We don't want anyone missing out on the fun!
If you choose to drive to Josephburg, please be aware of parking and road restrictions

Over 3,000 visitors have made their way to this event in the past. Drive with caution, watch for pedestrians, and obey parking restriction and road closure signs.
Parking at Moyer Recreation Centre will be reserved for individuals with valid parking placards and for persons with disabilities.
Public parking is available in a farmer’s field approximately two blocks north of the Moyer Recreation Centre, starting at 3:30 p.m. The walk is two blocks south, including across field terrain. There may be wet, snowy or icy areas, so please plan your walk accordingly. It can be difficult for strollers and if you don't require one, please consider leaving it at home.
Directions driving north on Highway 830: Turn right (east) on Township Road 550 (Josephburg Road). Turn left(north) into the farmer’s field where directed.
Directions driving from Fort Saskatchewan: Head east on Township Road 550. After crossing Range Road 214 / Highway 830, turn left (north) into the farmer’s field where directed.

Parking restrictions in effect
- Parking at Moyer Recreation Centre will be reserved for individuals with a valid parking placard and for persons with disabilities.
- Parking in the Josephburg town site is available only to residents with a valid parking permit.
- Parking will not be permitted along the roadsides of Highway 830, Township Road 550 or Range Road 215.
