Strathcona County water restriction lifted

The water restriction in Strathcona County has been lifted, effective immediately. The water supply has  returned to normal.

Municipalities in the Edmonton Metropolitan Region work together to manage water resources in an efficient and effective way. Strathcona County’s water restriction ensured neighbouring communities, and our own, were able to maintain adequate water reserves for essential services.

“Thank you to residents and businesses that conserved water during the restriction,” says Strathcona County water and wastewater manager Tammy Lockhart.

The spray decks at Clover Bar Ranch, Brentwood, Granville, Summerton, Kinsmen/Westboro and Woodbridge will re-open tomorrow, at their regular operating hours. The RE/MAX spray park in Broadmoor Lake Park and ArrKann Spray Park in Ardrossan Regional remain open and will resume normal operating hours from 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., effective tomorrow. Visit strathcona.ca/spraydecks for more information.

Though the restrictions have been lifted, residents are encouraged to look at their water use habits and find ways to make water conservation part of their daily lives. For tips, visit Strathcona.ca/waterconservation

Residents are also encouraged to sign up for Strathcona County Alerts (SC Alerts) for notification on water bans and restrictions. Sign up now.
