Community Centre update – public access via 501 Festival Avenue

Public access to the Community Centre’s north tower is opening December 19 at the 501 Festival Avenue entrance to: Family and Community Services, Transportation Planning and Engineering, and Legislative and Legal Services.

Celebrate at Strathcona County’s 2019 New Year’s Festival

Ring in the New Year with free family festivities on Monday, December 31 starting at 4 p.m. followed by fireworks at 8 p.m. The fun will take place at Broadmoor Lake Park and include activities at Festival Place and the Sherwood Park Arena and Sports Centre.

Community Centre complex restoration update

Following an extensive cleanup, County staff and council are able to return to the Community Centre complex the week of December 17. General public access to common areas will begin on December 20.

Shared recreation pass extended for one month

In a continued spirit of collaboration with its neighbour, Strathcona County is extending its acceptance of Fort Saskatchewan Multi-Facility Pass memberships at County recreation facilities, until January 31, 2019.

Boxing week special helps avoid overflowing garbage bins

From December 27 to 30, if required, Strathcona County will be accepting one additional black bag of waste per family, free of charge, at the Broadview Enviroservice Station.
