Strathcona County, in partnership with altView Foundation and the Strathcona County Youth Council, is gearing up to celebrate Pride Week (June 8 to 15) as part of its on-going commitment to foster a sense of belonging for all community members.

The County-wide fire ban has been lifted, effective immediately (May 30, 2018), due to cooler temperatures, precipitation and resources available in Strathcona County.

As part of Canada’s Environment Week, Strathcona County is offering free transit rides on its local and commuter routes all day on June 6, 2018.

In December 2017, Strathcona County Council approved a 2.18 per cent decrease on municipal property taxes for 2018. Tax notices will be mailed in mid-May. The tax payment deadline is Friday, June 29, 2018.
