Council approves amendment to Agriculture, Intensive Horticulture

Based on public input, Council has approved an amendment to the Land Use Bylaw 6-2015 at its September 12 meeting to move Agriculture, Intensive Horticulture from a permitted use to discretionary.

Water ban lifted

The water ban in Strathcona County has been lifted effective immediately. Water reservoir levels have returned to normal. Truck fills are now open.

Unplanned water ban to remain in place over weekend

The following is an update to Strathcona County’s water ban.

Strathcona County continues to ban all non-essential water use over the weekend. An update will be provided on Monday, September 11.

Unplanned water ban in place

Strathcona County is banning all non-essential water use effective immediately. The ban applies to residents in Sherwood Park, Ardrossan, Josephburg, Half Moon Lake, Collingwood Cove, Antler Lake and Fultonvale. Residents are being advised to use water for essential purposes only.

Nomination Day for the Strathcona County 2017 General Municipal Election is Monday, September 18. Anyone running for Mayor or Councillor must officially file nomination papers on this date, between 9 a.m. and 12 noon.
