Municipal election candidate registration

Anyone who is running in this fall’s municipal election ‒ for Mayor or Councillor ‒ is required to register with the municipality prior to accepting campaign contributions or contributing personal funds toward their election campaign.

Strathcona County’s latest public art unveiled with free skating and family activities

Strathcona County’s latest public art, “Limenitis Wall” by artists Jason Johnson and Guy Gardner, will be unveiled at the Emerald Hills Sports Pavilion (4501 Emerald Drive, Sherwood Park) on Sunday, January 22, 2017. To celebrate, there will be free outdoor skating, hot chocolate, hayrides, and crafts from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
