Strathcona County quality of life earns top marks in annual satisfaction survey

The results are in for the 2024 annual public satisfaction survey, and the verdict is in— Strathcona County received top marks! Respondents overwhelmingly agree that it is a fantastic place to live, work, and raise a family, supporting the County’s goal of becoming Canada’s most welcoming community.

An impressive 91 per cent of respondents rated the County as a good or very good place to live overall, and 92 per cent feel this is a great place to raise kids.

“Citizen satisfaction is one of the three key metrics to measure our success – and I’m thrilled to see residents love living here and that there are strong levels of satisfaction for both County services and infrastructure,” says Mayor Rod Frank. “The feedback we receive annually is integral to understanding where we excel in service delivery, and where we need to focus our attention on improvements. We have been diligent about spending responsibly while maintaining high service levels, delivered by staff who are passionate and care about our residents.”

The public satisfaction survey was conducted at the beginning of 2025 through telephone market research and the online public engagement platform County Voice. Strathcona County received a total of 1,346 responses; more than double what other comparable municipalities receive.
