Strathcona County residents can apply for Social Framework Community Grants to foster positive changes in our community. Applications are open from March 31 to April 30, 2026.

The community grants program supports residents, non-profit organizations and community groups who are interested in community safety and well-being and have a passion for leading community-building gatherings and projects that make a difference.

Community Connection grants of up to $400 are available to residents to support neighbourhood events or activities that promote safety, social connections and well-being in Strathcona County.

Community Change grants of up to $2,000 are available to residents, community groups and non-profit organizations for projects that create positive social change in Strathcona County.

In 2025, 146 approved grants supported street concerts and neighbourhood block parties; projects that fostered positive change included, but are not limited to, a community gardens project, community hub message board and neighbourhood placemaking, a men’s connection group and Grab-N-Go Emergency Preparedness Kits.
