Budget 2027 survey: your voice, our budget

Strathcona County’s annual budget survey opens today for residents and businesses to share their thoughts on taxes, spending and priorities. Results will be used to inform Council and County budget decisions.

“Hearing from our residents and business community helps us understand and address their current and future priorities,” says Jennifer Cannon, Chief Financial Officer and Deputy Chief Administrative Officer of Corporate Services. “We are committed to strong fiscal management that effectively delivers the high-quality services our community depend on and expect.”

The online survey only takes about five minutes. Residents may receive a telephone survey call in the coming weeks from an independent vendor the County has hired.

Survey results will be presented to Council and shared publicly in July 2026. Budget meetings, hearings and deliberations will begin in the fall, and the approved 2027-2030 budget will be released in early 2027.

The survey is open until April 18, 2026. Residents, as well as business owners and operators can take the survey and follow the project at strathcona.ca/budget-survey.
