Awards of Excellence 2026 - Nominate by March 6 Awards of Excellence

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Strathcona County Awards of Excellence. The awards recognize individuals, businesses and community groups who help make Strathcona County a great place to live.

Held every two years, the Awards of Excellence celebrate outstanding achievements and meaningful contributions that enrich Strathcona County socially, culturally and economically. The 2026 awards ceremony will be held on June 11 at Festival Place to honour the recipients. “The Awards of Excellence are an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the people who go above and beyond to strengthen our community,” said Mayor Rod Frank. “From dedicated volunteers and community leaders to innovative businesses and inspiring youth, these award recipients make a lasting difference in the lives of others and help shape the future of Strathcona County”.

Recipients will be honoured across a range of ten categories that reflect the diverse ways individuals and groups contribute to the community. These include Agricultural Leadership; Arts, Culture and Heritage; Athletic Achievement; Community Service; Economic Diversification; Heroism and Leadership; Outstanding Group; Service to Seniors; Youth; and the Mayor’s Award, the highest civic recognition from Strathcona County. The Awards of Excellence celebrate not only extraordinary accomplishments, but also the generosity, leadership and commitment that help build a welcoming, inclusive and resilient community. Previous ceremonies have highlighted achievements in volunteerism, cultural enrichment and public service, showcasing the depth of talent and dedication found throughout Strathcona County.

The nomination deadline is March 6, 2026 and nomination forms and information about the 2026 Strathcona County Awards of Excellence, including award categories, are available at strathcona.ca/excellence.
