“Recognition from Forbes underscores the dedication of our team,” says Mayor Rod Frank. “We are proud of a culture that values collaboration, innovation and care for one another. Employee engagement is one of our most important metrics, and we highly value these accomplishments."
Strathcona County offers a range of benefits and opportunities for its more than 2,000 employees. The annual ranking, which Forbes created in partnership with market research firm Statista, is based primarily on a survey of more than 40,000 people working for Canadian companies and institutions that employ at least 500 individuals. Survey respondents were asked to rate their employer based on a range of criteria, including salary, gender pay-equity, work flexibility, opportunities for promotion and on-the-job training. This reflects Strathcona County’s commitment to providing a positive and supportive work environment for its employees, and its dedication to delivering high-quality services and programs to its residents and businesses.
"Being recognized by Forbes as one of Canada’s Best Employers is a proud moment for Strathcona County," says Stacy Fedechko, Chief Administrative Officer. “This achievement reflects the dedication and professionalism of our staff, who deliver exceptional service to our community every day.”
