Strathcona County is making every effort to ensure you are safe while taking part in our recreation and culture programs. COVID-19 safety measures can vary by program area, so please make sure you are aware of your program's know before you go considerations before arriving at your class.

Whether you are looking to build new art skills, enjoy creative time with family and friends, explore a new exhibition, or just treat yourself to a positive mental health boost, Gallery@501 hosts lively art classes for adults, youth and kids of all ages. 

Programs offered

From calligraphy to traditional Metis beading, join us this fall for a variety of engaging art and art appreciation sessions. Programs are available for children, teens and adults of all ages and different art experience levels. All currently available Gallery@501 art programs are listed below:

 Please note: as with in-person programs, virtual programs are subject to minimum enrolment. You will be notified of any class changes, cancellations or postponements.

There are a few things you may want to know before taking part in Strathcona County Gallery@501 programs.

  • Effective September 4, masks are mandatory in indoor public spaces. 

    • Instructors and all program participants over the age of 2 are required to wear a mask during all program activities. 
    • Our visual arts instructors have been trained in protocols around cleaning and visitor safety and will follow all County and provincial guidelines to help stop the spread of COVID-19. 
    • Hand sanitizer is available, and participants will be encouraged to use it when entering and leaving program spaces. Enhanced cleaning protocols are in place. 
    • Stay home if you are sick, experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19 or have been directed to self-isolate.
