Strathcona County’s municipal census is underway. Households in the County should have received a census PIN letter, outlining instructions for the seamless completion of the census online.
Strathcona County has reduced its fire restriction to a fire advisory effective immediately, due to cooler temperatures and rain. Under a fire advisory, fire and fireworks permits are valid however they may be temporarily suspended based on the current conditions (wind speed, temperature etc.).

A fire restriction has been declared for Strathcona County, effective 12 noon on April 22. The County has called the restriction in response to the dry conditions and windy weather. The restriction applies to all rural areas in the County.
