Family Day fun supports Everybody gets to play™

This Family Day, February 17, residents can make a difference in the lives of our community members by visiting Strathcona County recreation facilities. One hundred per cent of admissions collected on Family Day will support the Everybody gets to playTM program in Strathcona County which helps families with limited income access recreation and culture services in our community.

In addition, from February 10 to 17, Pasta Pantry will contribute $1 from each Home Chef kit sold (1lb of fresh pasta and 16oz sauce), and Sherwood Park Panago Pizza on Baseline Road and Wye Road will contribute $1 from every large pizza sold to Everybody gets to playTM.

Businesses are invited to join this meaningful cause through contributions to the Everybody gets to playTM program. A corporate funding drive will take place in February, seeking $100, $250 and $500 donations from local businesses to support Everybody gets to playTM in Strathcona County. These donations are eligible for a tax receipt.

The Everybody gets to playTM program provides eligible County residents with no-cost drop-in recreation opportunities (Active Pass+) and registered recreation and culture program opportunities at a reduced fee through the Recreation Access Program (RAP). The program aims to increase access to recreation and culture services and create more affordable options for County residents.

Strathcona County would like to recognize Air Products as the founding sponsor of the Everybody gets to playTM program in Strathcona County, and FortisAlberta for their sponsorship contribution towards this year’s Family Day initiative.
