School Outreach Programs

Have a Gallery Educator come into your classroom! Gallery@501 offers School Outreach Programs, which are designed for grades 7-12. We can customize a program based on your curriculum, or to complement a classroom project. The program starts with a theme-based art and interpretation section, followed by a hands-on art project to translate learning into visual expression.

Outreach programs usually consist of two classroom visits, but this can be tailored around your availability and project chosen. Projects can include drawing, printmaking, mixed media, painting or collage.

Outreach programs develop critical thinking skills through a cross curriculum aligned approach to the visual arts. This is a great opportunity to enhance learning in the English Language Arts and Social Studies curricula. Projects can be based on a novel, a culture or indigenous group, a historical event, literary themes, etc.

Cost depends upon the program design.
