The Arts Development/Program Project Grant enables and encourages community not-for-profit arts, culture and heritage organizations to enhance their services and provide innovative community based arts, cultural and heritage programs, projects and activities to the residents of Strathcona County. 

Capital equipment

The Capital Equipment Grant enables, encourages and assists community not-for-profit arts, culture and heritage organizations to purchase essential capital equipment that will enhance and develop their delivery of services to residents of Strathcona County. 

Individual Artist Development

The Individual Artist Development Grant enables and encourages professional and emerging artists who live in Strathcona County to further their skills and to share their learnings with the wider cultural community, thereby enhancing cultural and heritage programs, projects and activities in Strathcona County.

The Organizational Development Grant enables and encourages community not-for-profit arts, culture and heritage organizations to strengthen the skills and capacity of both their organization and volunteers, thereby improving their ability to provide innovative community-based arts, cultural and heritage programs, projects and activities to the residents of Strathcona County. 

Special Event or Festival Grant

The Special Event Grant enables, encourages and assists community not-for-profit arts, culture and heritage organizations to produce or enhance multi-faceted arts, cultural and/or heritage events. Events must be held on one or more days in Strathcona County.

COVID-19 Funding Grant 2022

The COVID-19 Funding Grant supports Strathcona County-based not-for-profit arts, culture and heritage organizations whose activities and operations have been adversely affected by reductions in revenues during the COVID-19 pandemic. This funding is intended to support organizations that are at risk of closing operations or cancelling significant 2022 activities and services to the community due to financial shortfalls as a result of COVID restrictions.

Please note this grant category is temporary and available only during the May 8 application deadline.

Application deadlines

  • COVID-19 Funding, May 8 only.
  • All other Arts, Culture and Heritage Community Investment Program categories: November 30 and May 8 each year.
