Mayor to deliver future-focused State of the County address

Strathcona County is looking ahead. Mayor Rod Frank will take the stage in two addresses to share his vision for the County’s future, including what challenges lie ahead and how Strathcona County is continuing to build a thriving community.

“In Strathcona County, we don’t stand still—we plan, we build and we grow,” said Mayor Frank. “This year’s State of the County is about looking forward: What’s on the horizon? What challenges do we anticipate? And most importantly, how will we continue to create opportunity, prosperity and a great quality of life for all residents?

In earlier addresses, I’ve had the privilege of reflecting on our County’s past and present, our achievements, our challenges and the resilience of our community. Now, I’m proud to turn our focus to what lies ahead. One thing is certain: the future isn’t something that just happens to us, it’s something we build together. And together, we’ll keep shaping one of Canada’s most livable communities.”

Join Mayor Frank on April 23, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Community Centre Agora (401 Festival Lane) for this free event, open to all residents. The evening will also feature a video presentation showcasing some of the County’s exciting businesses, initiatives and community groups while offering an opportunity to connect with Mayor Frank and members of Council over light refreshments.

The Mayor will also deliver a similar address on April 16 at the Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

Guests are encouraged to register in advance to secure their spot at strathcona.ca/StateOfTheCounty.
