What matters to you when it comes to the 2026 Strathcona County budget? On Nov. 24, 2025, Strathcona County Budget 2026 meetings will begin.
The County budget allocates resources required to maintain high levels of service and support the community. Like households and businesses, the County is experiencing many of the same financial pressures, with rising costs and limited revenues. Building on the past and thoughtful planning for the future is essential.
“Our focus this year is on the capital plan, with an emphasis on maintaining and preserving our existing infrastructure and facilities,” says Jennifer Cannon, Deputy Chief Administrative Officer, Corporate Services and CFO. “Escalating capital costs have changed the financial landscape, so it is essential that we make purposeful and necessary adjustments to ensure sustainability for the future.”
Watch budget meetings to stay informed about budget considerations, the rationale behind decisions and final outcomes. Budget documents will be posted to the County’s website at strathcona.ca/budget on Nov. 24.
