Water ban lifted – February 2, 2024

The water ban in Strathcona County has been lifted and residents can return to normal water use.
EPCOR has informed Strathcona County that repairs are complete at the E.L Smith Water Treatment Plant, water storage levels have recovered and normal operations can resume.
Thank you to everyone who did their part to reduce their water use during this time. Every drop counts.
Though the ban has been lifted, residents are encouraged to look at their water use habits and find ways to make water conservation part of their daily lives. For tips, visit strathcona.ca/WaterConservation.
Residents are also encouraged to sign up for Strathcona County Alerts (SC Alerts) for notification on water bans and restrictions via strathcona.ca/scalerts.
