Strathcona County Emergency Services (SCES) provides a full-range of emergency response. Our members are cross-trained and qualified in fire, rescue and emergency medical services (EMS), offering Strathcona County a fully integrated and seamless service. Emergency personnel responding to an incident are trained as both firefighters and medical technicians.

There are currently six fire stations in Strathcona County; four full time stations (1, 4, 5, and 6) and two part-time stations (Station 2 in South Cooking Lake and Station 3 in Ardrossan).

Emergency Services has a quality management system that is applied to all divisions, areas of responsibility and stations. Full-time stations (Stations 1, 4, 5 and 6) are registered to an  ISO 9001 Standard (316.1 KB)  

The department is also accredited to QMENTUM Status from Accreditation Canada. This means that Strathcona County Emergency Services has established supports, structures and processes that focus on quality and safety in the delivery of emergency medical services.
