Leaders from across Strathcona County gathered in council chambers on March 16 to sign the Violence, Trauma and Suicide Prevention (VTSP) Protocol, committing to work together to support resident safety.

Snow route clearing is almost complete, and County crews will start removing snow on remaining residential streets overnight.

A snow route parking ban will go into effect on Sunday, March 6 at 7 a.m. on all collector roads in Sherwood Park. 

Guided by its Waste Management Roadmap, Strathcona County is starting a journey to change how we think about and manage our waste. 

On March 1, Council approved new strategic plan goals and priorities to guide Strathcona County for the next four years, toward its vision of becoming Canada’s most livable community.

Dog owners are reminded to register or renew their annual dog licence by March 31, 2022. All dogs residing in Strathcona County are required to have a valid dog licence, renewable each year. 
 

In solidarity and support for the people of Ukraine, Strathcona County raised the Ukrainian flag this afternoon at its Community Centre’s Volunteer Plaza. 

Strathcona County is beginning the next phase of its community waste management strategy review.

In 2020 and 2021, Strathcona County engaged the residential community to develop a Waste Management Roadmap. Now it’s time to explore opportunities with the business community. 

Improving quality of life for others, supporting fellow community members during the COVID-19 pandemic, and diversifying our economy and protecting our environment are just a few ways individuals and groups are making a positive impact in Strathcona County.
