Job Description

As a Recreation Attendant for Broadmoor Public Golf Course, you will provide high quality customer service to our guests by assisting with day-to-day play, set-up, event operations, and course maintenance. 


This posting is for multiple hourly positions (June – November 2025) 


Key Responsibilities:


  • Park, clean, charge and maintain golf carts
  • Collection of driving range balls, cleaning range balls, and restocking ball dispensers
  • Assist with tournament set-up 
  • Operate small equipment (back-pack blowers, weed whips, lawn mowers, etc.) 
  • Operate ride-on equipment (mowers, golf carts, driving range picker, etc.)
  • Monitor golf course for issues including slow play, non-payment and housekeeping
  • Assist golfers and respond to concerns 


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as room set-up/take down and cleaning  
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact with facility guests in a positive manner  
  • Skill and ability to perform in stressful situations  
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal  
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to adapt to changing needs  
  • Minimum completion of Grade 10 
  • High school diploma plus experience in a Strathcona County Recreation Facility is an asset 
  • Must be available for day, evening, weekend, and statutory holiday shifts 


Conditions of Employment


  • Submission of Satisfactory Criminal Record Check  
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as cleaning, and room set-up/takedown 
  • Perform duties in inclement weather, with possible exposure to severe weather conditions
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s licence and submission of a 5-year Driver’s Abstract with less than 7 demerits
