Job Description
As a Recreation Attendant for Broadmoor Public Golf Course, you will provide high quality customer service to our guests by assisting with day-to-day play, set-up, event operations, and course maintenance.
This posting is for multiple hourly positions (June – November 2025)
Key Responsibilities:
- Park, clean, charge and maintain golf carts
- Collection of driving range balls, cleaning range balls, and restocking ball dispensers
- Assist with tournament set-up
- Operate small equipment (back-pack blowers, weed whips, lawn mowers, etc.)
- Operate ride-on equipment (mowers, golf carts, driving range picker, etc.)
- Monitor golf course for issues including slow play, non-payment and housekeeping
- Assist golfers and respond to concerns
Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as room set-up/take down and cleaning
- Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to interact with facility guests in a positive manner
- Skill and ability to perform in stressful situations
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to adapt to changing needs
- Minimum completion of Grade 10
- High school diploma plus experience in a Strathcona County Recreation Facility is an asset
- Must be available for day, evening, weekend, and statutory holiday shifts
Conditions of Employment
- Submission of Satisfactory Criminal Record Check
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as cleaning, and room set-up/takedown
- Perform duties in inclement weather, with possible exposure to severe weather conditions
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s licence and submission of a 5-year Driver’s Abstract with less than 7 demerits
