Weekend itineraries: Easter weekend

This weekend in Sherwood Park and Strathcona County

Weekend itineraries: Easter weekend

Help digest your Easter dinner by spending time on the many walking paths available here. We have created several maps available online showing the trail system within Strathcona County, and you can even filter by surface type if you’re looking for bike trails as well.

Exterior of Robs Donair

A great local restaurant to support this weekend is Robs Donair. Found in Sherwood Town Square, they offer donairs, hamburgers, and even salads. There’s something on their menu for everyone so stop by and satisfy your cravings. Rob’s special donair is definitely worth a try, and this weekend is the perfect time to do so.

Exterior of Grey Dog Distilling

New distillery alert! Grey Dog Distilling has opened its doors and is now selling its newly created product, “rhumb”. If you have been looking for a unique product to enjoy that has a huge emphasis on sourcing local during the production process -you’ve found it. Here’s a tip: when you’re buying your bottles, make sure to ask about the story behind the names of the products. A rhumb called Sea Dog that’s found in the prairies makes more sense once you know about the connection to the Canadian Navy. Stop by their location on Sioux Road this weekend or visit their online shop to place an order.
