On November 24, 2022, Council approved the 2023 Budget. Several service level modifications and fee adjustments were made to recreation and culture services to help address the County’s revenue shortfall, align with changes in community demand, and bring operating costs in line with regional partners.

Recreation and culture facility operating hours

Operating hours in all indoor recreation facilities were changed effective January 1, 2023. Adjusted hours were carefully chosen after reviewing trends in facility visits to reduce the overall impact on residents, and align operating hours with facilities in neighbouring communities.

For details on specific facility hours and availability in 2023, please refer to the online drop-in schedule or each recreation facility’s webpage.
