Social support and services

Experiencing an emergency can impact people in many ways. Our trained counsellors and Solutions Navigation staff can help you manage stress and emotions and connect you with additional services you may need.  

You can access these services free of charge by calling 780-464-4044 or visiting the Family and Community Services office on the second floor of the Strathcona County Community Centre (401 Festival Lane, Sherwood Park). Services may also be available at your hotel, check the lobby sign for more information.

Medical facilities

If you require medical assistance, you can visit the Strathcona Community Hospital at 9000 Emerald Drive, Sherwood Park. In case of emergency, call 9-1-1. Call 8-1-1 to find a walk-in clinic near you and for general health information.  

Food vouchers

Upon your arrival at DESCRIBE WHERE THEY WOULD HAVE RECEIVED IT, you would have received DESCRIBE WHAT THEY RECEIVED. This voucher allows you to get food at DESCRIBE DETAILS OF THE FOOD VOUCHER.  

If you did not receive your voucher or have misplaced it, please DIRECTIONS ABOUT WHAT TO DO for assistance.  

Transit passes

Your DESCRIBE THE VOUCHER OR BRACELET also gives you access to Strathcona County’s Transit system. View transit routes and schedules. 

Recreation facility access

With your DESCRIBE THE VOUCHER OR BRACELET, you also have access to Strathcona County’s recreation facilities including LIST APPLICABLE SPECIFIC FACILITITES.
