Job Description

This posting is for 2 part-time permanent positions

 

The RCMP & Enforcement Services Customer Service Representative (Customer Service Front Counter) serves as the primary point of contact for clients at the RCMP and Enforcement Services detachment. This role is responsible for assessing the nature and urgency of each inquiry or complaint and providing a professional and appropriate response to both emergency and non-emergency service requests. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, generate and process front counter inquiries for investigative and information files, prepare complaint files, collision files, and provide clients with advice and direction to appropriate resources 

  • Perform data entry into RCMP and Enforcement Services record management systems and complete criminal record checks 

  • Accept payments, process deposits and issue receipts for warrant fines, services and permits 

  • Identify and document all visitors/contractors and provide security escorts within the building 

 

Qualifications and Skills 

  • High School Diploma and 3 years of related work experience  

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or a certificate in Emergency Communications is preferred 

  • PROS End users certification is an asset 

  • Ability to maintain a professional and positive image with good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills 

  • Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize a large workload and remain focused during frequent interruptions 

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to think and act quickly in stressful situations 

  • Ability to remain objective and diplomatic, exercise mature judgement and maintain the highest level of confidentiality 

  • Working knowledge of RCMP and County policies, procedures, Criminal Code, federal and provincial statutes, municipal bylaws and court documents 

  • Proficient using RCMP and County Software and equipment including PROS, JOIN, NPIRS, CPIC, CIIDS, LIVESCAN

 

Conditions of Employment

  • Ability to obtain an RCMP Enhanced Reliability Security Clearance 

  • Position requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings
