Job Description
This posting is for multiple hourly positions at Strathcona Wilderness Centre and other Strathcona County facilities
The Facility Attendant completes facility cleaning and maintenance on an ongoing basis to ensure a safe, clean environment at all times both inside and outside. This position also provides high quality customer service including interacting with guests during set-up and take down for rental clients, greeting day-use participants, and reviewing facility specific information.
This position requires working a variety of part-time shifts that include daytime, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.  
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning maintenance of entire facilities and grounds to meet or exceed provincial health and safety standards
Prepare the facility for use by guests by ensuring the facility and surroundings are safe, clean and presentable
Perform manual tasks such as lifting, cleaning and sanitizing
Set-up and take down for rental clients
Operating Strathcona County Utility vehicle
Understand and carry out operational procedures for building emergencies, injury accidents, mechanical failure and room preparation
Qualifications and Skills:
Minimum of Grade 10 education 
1-year related experience working with the public in a service setting is an asset
Standard First Aid and CPR
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with facility guests in a positive manner
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong organizational, prioritization and multitasking skills 
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Conditions of Employment
Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver’s licence and submission of a 5-year Driver’s Abstract with less than 7 demerits  
Ability to perform physical labour as part of the job duties and stand/walk for extended periods of time
