Starting in June 2025, Strathcona County will begin construction along Regency Drive and Foxboro Drive to enhance traffic and pedestrian safety.

New safety features were identified through the Foxboro and Area Traffic Review (2023). Traffic calming helps reduce speeding, improve pedestrian safety, corrects poor sightlines, and enhances overall road safety for all users.Â

A new roundabout at Regency Drive and Foxboro Drive is being built to enhance safety and traffic flow, offering a more efficient and safer alternative to the existing stop-sign controlled intersection.
Upgrades to the remainder of Foxboro Drive and Foxhaven Drive are tentatively planned for 2026, pending budget approval. These will include crosswalk enhancements and installation of median islands. More information will be shared when the timelines are confirmed.
