Starting in June 2025, Strathcona County will begin construction along Regency Drive and Foxboro Drive to enhance traffic and pedestrian safety prior to the opening of the new school (École Claudette-et-Denis-Tardif) in the fall.

Road and sidewalk improvements

Pavement and sidewalk rehabilitation will take place on:

  • Foxboro Drive (from Clover Bar Road to Regency Drive)
  • Regency Drive (from Ridgemont Way to Foxboro Drive)

Construction will not include Regency Drive from Clover Bar Road to Ridgemont Way, which was completed in 2020.

New features to improve traffic and pedestrian safety

New safety features were identified through the Foxboro and Area Traffic Review (2023). Traffic calming helps reduce speeding, improve pedestrian safety, corrects poor sightlines, and enhances overall road safety for all users.

Improvements will include:

  • New roundabout at Regency Drive and Foxboro Drive
  • Crosswalk upgrades and pedestrian safety improvements
  • Curb extensions and median islands for traffic calming
