Strathcona County maintains a variety of outdoor spaces to keep them safe, accessible and enjoyable for the community.Â
Mowing and trimming interactive map
The interactive map identifies open spaces, parks, fields and diamonds, dry ponds, stormwater ponds and trail that are maintained by Strathcona County.
Interacting with the coloured polygons or lines will provide more information about when the location was last maintained and when future maintenance is expected. In some cases, maintenance may be rescheduled due to weather conditions. Â
A neighbourhood, park, field number or address can be searched by using the sear bar in the bottom right hand corner.
Strathcona County is responsible for maintaining any area identified by a coloured polygon or line on the map. This work may be delegated to a contractor or to a County staff crew. Â
Naturalization means helping land and habitat return to a natural state. The County protects the buffer zone around stormwater management facilities and other natural areas by not mowing the grass, which allows natural native vegetation to take over.
