Registered programs update

All Strathcona County summer camps and registered indoor summer programs have been cancelled and refunds have been processed. For any inquiries about refunds, please call 780-467-2211.

New outdoor programs (outdoor fitness classes and Play in the Park) have been created to meet Alberta Health Services guidelines to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community.

The safety of our guests and staff remains our top priority. Strathcona County indoor recreation facilities remain CLOSED, targeted re-opening dates listed below. The County is taking a phased approach to re-opening recreation and culture facilities. Residents can expect the delivery of County-run services to look different upon re-opening.

Registered Play in the Park activities

Register your family and enjoy some outdoor playtime with facilitated games and activities. Play in the Park is a one-hour instructor led session, appropriate for all age groups. It is offered at 6 different locations within Strathcona County. Activities will feature a new theme each week and will include sports, wellness, music, movement, arts, crafts and nature. This registered, outdoor activity meets all Alberta Health guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Play in the Park FAQs

Visual arts includes everything from pottery, glass fusing, photography, fibre art, sewing, clay, painting, soapstone and more.

Programs are designed to introduce students to new disciplines, or hone existing skills. We can also instruct a private group or school class.
