Strathcona County offers visual art programs and activities out of two main locations, Gallery@501 and Smeltzer House Visual Arts Centre. Explore pottery and glass fusing, photography, fibre art, painting and drawing, soapstone carving, and more. Visual art programs are open to everyone and include a wide variety of creative experiences taught by community educators and experienced artists and makers.
Visual arts programs are also available for private groups and schools.
Strathcona County's visual arts programs have been created to meet all provincial guidelines in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
Smeltzer House Visual Arts Programs
Summer program registration
Registration for half-day, week long summer programs for youth ages 3 to 17 years begins at 7 a.m. on June 8 on Recreation Online. Programs include preschool, visual arts, dance, drama, sports, outdoor skills, family and leadership. Other program opportunities for families, children, teens and adults will be available for registration as well.
Registration for swimming begins June 16 at 7 a.m. on Recreation Online.
All programs meet current provincial guidelines in place to help stop the spread of COVID-19 in our community.
