New online service option for municipal bylaw tickets

A new online payment option is now available for County-issued bylaw tickets. Launching October 21, the website provides a secure, quick and easy way to pay municipal bylaw fines including dog, noise, parking, Community Standards Bylaw infractions, and more.

Cram a Cruiser for the Strathcona Food Bank

On Friday, October 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Strathcona County Enforcement Services and RCMP will be collecting donations for the Strathcona Food Bank at the Save-on-Foods, Sobeys and Superstore Baseline Road locations. Staff will be onsite with a police cruiser and are encouraging shoppers to cram the cruiser with food donations.

Strathcona County Receives 2024 Excellence in Economic Development Silver Award from the International Economic Development Council

Strathcona County received a 2024 Excellence in Economic Development Silver Award from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC). The award was bestowed specifically for the organization’s work in the Special Purpose Website category that impacted over 100,000 residents.

2024 municipal census shows continued growth

The count is in! Strathcona County’s population is on the rise, according to the 2024 municipal census results. The County’s population has grown by 3.5 per cent since 2022, bringing the total number of residents to 103,829 people. The County saw population increases of 3.5 per cent in urban areas (75,575 residents) and 3.3 per cent in rural areas (28,253 residents).
